Current IT infra was having server sprawl and analog telecommunication solution with unmanaged Network infrastructure.
For the compute requirement, We recommended IBM Blede Centre S with internal storage on which VMware HA solution was deployed, this help in reducing the hardware footprint at the same time the customer requirement for a high available system was achieved.
The Virtualization solution is based on VMware hypervisor with Vcenter for High Availability and server consolidation. Setup also included IBM BCS chassis with two IBM blades running 6-7 different virtual servers. It not only provides HA but helps in Load balancing of physical resources spread across these servers. The complete setup is fully functional and company is completely satisfied.
For the VOIP and managed switching requirement we recommended CISCO VOIP solution with CISCO BE 7000 system and mix of CISCO IP and CISCO Analog phones. The managed switching was delivered with CISCO 2960 and CISCO 3650 range of switches. This helped them use and managethe network and tele-communication equipment’s in smarter way. The customer was able to integrate the VOIP with their overseas corporate network.
This solution (Servers and VMware) has greatly reduced the downtime in case of a server component failure and has helped the company in providing uninterrupted service to its internal users. CISCO on telephony end helped them to save costs on multinational calling with latest technology in place. With CISCO switching it helped them to have more robust and manageable network.
