BYOD:Bring your own device (BYOD) :
refers to the policy of permitting employees to bring personally owned mobile devices (laptops, tablets, and smart phones) to their workplace, and to use those devices to access privileged company information and applications. The term is also used to describe the same practice applied to students using personally owned devices in education institutions.The proliferation of devices such as tablets and smartphones, which are now used by many people in their daily lives, has led to a number of companies, to allow employees to bring their own devices to work, due to perceived productivity gains and cost savings.
Mobile Device Management (MDM) :
Mobile device management (MDM) is an industry term for the administration
of mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers.
MDM is usually implemented with the use of a third party product that has management
features for particular vendors of mobile devices.MDM functionality can include
over-the-air distribution of applications, data and configuration settings for all
types of mobile devices, including mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, mobile printers,
mobile POS devices, desktops, laptops etc. In general MDM SW delivers features such
as:

2) Profile Management
3) Backup & Restore
4) Geo Location Tracking
5) Loss or Theft handling
